Street performers are facing big challenges because of COVID-19 and more people watching stuff online. With fewer people going out and traditional places to perform closed, it’s hard for them to find an audience and make money. But some performers are finding new ways to keep going. They’re using the internet to reach more people by doing live online shows, using social media to share their music, and asking fans for support through crowdfunding. These new ideas are helping them keep their music alive even when things are tough.
In today’s age of virtual concerts and online gigs, the magic of experiencing live music in person still holds a special place. While online platforms offer street performers a chance to showcase their talent to a worldwide audience, they often fall short of capturing the true essence of a live performance. The limited frame of a screen, typically set at a 16:9 ratio, restricts the viewer’s perspective, leaving out important aspects like the atmosphere, surroundings, and interaction with the audience.
